Commanding a blank canvas, in whatever realm of creativity, is a form of art. I believe art is defined as the act of communicating thoughts, concepts, or feelings using engaging written, visual, or aural language.

 

My creative practice is young, but I am beaming with artistic desire. My background as a queer Sri Lankan immigrant, as unique as it sounds, pushes me forward on a path to illustrate my lived diversity and authenticity.

 

I can pull from multiple threads of experience and influence which brings a personal and unique expression. For it is in the personal that the unique command of the canvas is rooted.
